Abstract

Introduction: SARS-CoV-2 emergency has been widely spread around the world, showing the infectious potential of Coronavirus. Global Concern is centrally in have enough intensive care units (ICU) and support measures like mechanical ventilation. Acute Kidney Injury is an associated complicatiion with a high morbility and mortality that requires quick attention.

Objective: We make a Research in the literature about Covid-19 and it’s renal manifestations in ICU.

Materials and Methods: We make a research in literatura at PubMed Database with the Key Words: “Intensive Care Units “Critial care” “COVID-19” “severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2” “SARS-CoV-2” “2019 novel coronavirus” “coronavirus disease 2019” “acute kidney injury” “Nephrologists.

Results: We found 74 articles for this review, 53 articles related directly with Coronavirus and 21 complementary Articles about acute kidney injury that meet with stablished key words.

Conclusion: Kidney is involved in COVID-19 phisiopatology and it’s failure is been associated with mortality. Monitoring of kidney function and Treatment must be a priority in order to improve patient outcomes.
