The face-to-face worship that Christians perceive most importantly is being replaced by non-face-to-face worship due to the phenomenal spread of Covid 19. This unwanted situation has led serious confusion among Christians who consider worship as 'living sacrifice' and value the church community. Moreover, pastors and staff members of the church are also complaining of difficulties in preparing for the unfamiliar non-face-to-face worship. Therefore, this study intends to explore the meaning and nature of non-face-to-face worship experience that worship participants perceive based on their interviews who keep Sunday holy even in the situation of non-face-to-face worship. This study conducted interviews on Christians who are passionate about religious life from September 2020 to November 2020. Also, for research method, this study was conducted by phenomenological research method that allows exploration of the meaning and nature of the experience of 6 worship participants. Moreover, during face-to-face meetings, the meeting was conducted in compliance with the Covid 19 quarantine guidelines based on semi-structured questionnaire. Most of all, phenomenological research has the advantage of being able to explore the nature of non-face-to-face worship experience of research participants through the intuition of the researcher. First, according to the research result, non-face-to-face worship is not perceived as a complete ritual for worship participants. Secondly, worship participants face various psychosocial conflicts as guilt by non-face-to-face worship. Thirdly, it has been confirmed that worship participants miss face-to-face worship. Specially, it was identified that the longing for face-to-face worship is not limited to participants, but also all family members miss face-to-face worship as well. Based on these findings, this study expects churches to come up with effective countermeasures against non-face-to-face worship. Also, this study hopes the non-face-to-face worship to end soon and for spiritual longing of church members to be resolved by resumption of face-to-face worship.

COVID-19의 확산으로 인해 기독교인이 가장 중요하게 인식하는 예배는 비대면 예배로 대체되는 양상이다. 이런 원치 않은 상황으로 인해 예배를 ‘산제사’로 여기고 교회 공동체를 소중하게 여기는 기독교인들은 심각한 혼란에 직면하고 있다. 더불어 교회의 목회자 및 임직원들도 익숙하지 않는 비대면 예배에 대한 준비에 어려움을 호 소하고 있다. 따라서 본 고는 비대면 예배 상황에서 주일성수를 지키는 예배 참여자 와의 면담을 토대로 그들이 인식하는 비대면 예배 경험의 의미와 본질을 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 2020년 9월부터 2020년 11월까지 신앙생활에 열정 있는 6인의 기독교인 을 대상으로 면담이 진행되었다. 연구방법은 예배 참여자의 경험의 의미 및 본질을 규명하기 위해서 현상학적 연구 방법으로 진행하였다. 더불어 대면 면담 시에는 반 구조화된 질문지를 토대로 코로나 방역 지침을 준수하여 면담을 진행하였다. 무엇보 다도 현상학적 연구는 연구 참여자의 비대면 예배 경험의 본질을 연구자의 직관을 통 한 탐색이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 연구 결과 첫째, 비대면 예배는 예배 참여자에게 온전한 제사가 아닌 것으로 인식된다. 둘째, 예배 참여자는 비대면 예배로 인해 죄책감을 포함한 다양한 심리사회적 갈등에 직면하게 된다. 셋째, 예배 참여자는 대면예배를 그리워하고 있음이 확인 되었 다. 특히 대면 예배의 그리움은 참여자만으로 한정된 것이 아닌 가족 구성원 모두 대 면 예배를 참석하고 싶어 하는 것으로 드러났다. 이러한 연구결과를 근거로 교회에서 비대면 예배에 대한 효과적인 대처방안을 고 안하기를 바라는 마음이다. 또한 속히 비대면 예배가 종결되고 대면 예배의 재개를 통해 성도들의 영적 갈급함 또한 해결되기를 바란다.
