An atypical and infectious type of pneumonia, defined as COVID-19, has been identified at the end of 2019. This disease was declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization. Dentists, patients and employees who are contaminated with droplets and aerosols formed as a result of dental procedures can be quickly infected. In this epidemic environment, dentists and their assistants also have important duties to prevent the spread of the epidemic. Dentists should be able to manage of this process with the highest precaution in their clinics, which is one of the risky areas for the transmission and spread of the disease, without disrupting the emergency health services. In this review, dentists are provided with relevant information about the precautions of which they can take in their clinic.
