Abstract

The outbreak of COVID-19 can be traced back to that one city in China, records of which show that it broke out during the final months of 2019. However, in a few weeks, it became a topic of national importance, as it had made its way to almost every single country on this planet. On 11 March 2020, WHO declared Covid-19 Virus as a global Pandemic and the virus put the entire world in unparalleled catastrophe, which resulted in innumerable deaths, economic depression, unemployment, health issues etc. Among all, labors were seen as ‘the most vulnerable groups in the pandemic’ as their livelihood came to a halt.

“The world of work has been profoundly affected by the global virus pandemic. In addition to the threat to public health, the economic and social disruption threatens the long-term livelihoods and wellbeing of millions.” This paper, with an aims to investigate countless facets of hardships faced by the workers at global level during the COVID-19 pandemic has produced research on the impact of the deadly virus on their health, along with methods and the need to protect the health of the workers.
