Abstract

Purpose- COVID-19 has serious implications for the tourism sector. Although the exact recovery and resilience stages are uncertain; this article investigate the most psychological fear causing factors (negative motivators) as well as most avoided mode of transport during and post COVID-19.

Research Method: A quantitative method was applied. 483 online surveys were collected using social networking platforms. Here in the survey 6 fear factors were listed and asked to rank later mean analysis was done. For mode of transport, data for each mode of transport was recorded independently with list of modes were listed and the respondents were asked to mark the mode which they (respondent) prefer to avoid during and post COVID-19 (Respondents were allowed to mark more than one choice)

Results: The COVID-19 pandemic was contagious, with financial crises, travel restrictions, fears of death, and feelings of loneliness, fears of getting infected among the horrific tourist communities significantly family well-being is the utmost fear factor among them. Respondents preferred to travel by private mode of transport and preferred to avoid public transport where mass transportation takes place.
