본 연구는 COVID-19로 인해 유치원에서 디지털 매체 활용이 증가한 시점에서 공립유치원 교사의 디지털 매체 활용에 대한 인식과 어려움 및 요구를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 공립유치원 교사 16명을 대상으로 설문조사와 면담을 실시하였으며, 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사들은 디지털 매체 활용의 필요성, 디지털 환경 지원, 태도 등에 관해 긍정적으로 인식하였다. 둘째, 교사들은 디지털 환경과 지원 격차에 어려움을 느끼고, 교사의 개방적인 태도, 교사 연수를 필요로 하였다. 즉, 교사들은 디지털 매체 활용을 긍정적으로 인식하였으나, 유치원 여건과 교사 어려움 및 요구를 반영한 지원과 교육은 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구는 디지털 기반 유아교육 실천과 교사교육을 위한 기초 연구로서 시사점이 있다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the perception, difficulties and needs of public kindergarten teachers on the use of digital media according to increasing the use of digital media in kindergarten due to COVID-19. For this, a survey and interview were conducted with 16 teachers of public kindergartens, the results are as follows. First, they perceived positively about the necessity, digital environmental support, attitudes of digital media use. Second, they felt difficulties due to a gap in the digital environment and support, and demanded teachers’ open attitudes, digital environmental support, and teacher training. Although teachers perceived the use of digital media positively, support and education reflecting the type of kindergartens, teachers’ difficulties and needs were lack. Therefore, this study has implications as a basic research for the implementation of early digital education and teacher education.
