The US government has set a deadline of 4 January 2022 for most US workers to be vaccinated against covid-19. President Joe Biden announced the deadline on 4 November. There are around 160 million people in the US workforce and the administration’s orders will require around two thirds—100 million—to be vaccinated.123
Biden said that the Labour Department would require companies with more than 100 employees to make sure that they are fully vaccinated with either the two dose Pfizer BioNTech or Moderna vaccines or with the one dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
