Abstract

The given article is devoted to the study of the COVID-19 terminology impact on the Anglo-American education terminology. The author studies semantic peculiarities of the COVID-19 terminology. Four groups of terms have been defined. Considering the peculiarities of the COVID-19 terms the author analyzes the Anglo-American education terminology in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. Semantic shifts occurring in the meaning structure of the Anglo-American education terms are illustrated on the material of the terms denoting different forms of learning in the context of a new normal.
