Supply Chain Management in Disaster Relief: The Role of Digital Academic Libraries During Covid-19 Pandemic in Finland

Abstract

This study describe system level barriers hindering the actual implementation of digital interactive research processes for supply chain management in disaster relief.  The author as a research agent observes librarians, professors, and researchers both in universities and companies. There is limited transparency and inclusivity to activate synergy benefits. The practice of science is increasingly assigned to politically supported elite teams. In so doing political considerations appear to bias scientific objectivity and increase a culture of secrecy. Due to these factors, digital libraries have not yet reached their potential for coordinating supply chain coordination tasks in managing disaster relief operations.

Keywords: open-science, supply chain coordination, digital-libraries, systems-thinking
