COVID-19 위험인식과 건강의식이 보호동기와 행동의도에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 보호동기이론을 적용하여 COVID-19 위험인식과 건강의식이 인간의 인지과정을 통해 행동의도에 미치는 영향을 구조적으로 살펴보았다. 2020년 6월 10일부터 6월 30일까지 편의추출법을 이용하여 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 설문 대상은 2020년 국내 · 외 여행계획을 세웠지만, COVID-19로 인해 여행을 취소하거나 연기한 사람을 대상으로 진행하였다. 수집된 총 230부의 설문지는 SPSS Statistics 23.0을 이용하여 빈도분석 및 인구통계학적 분석을 실시하였으며, SmartPLS 3.0으로는 확인적 요인분석과 구조방정식을 통해 구성개념 간 인과관계 및 가설을 검증하였다. 연구결과로는 COVID-19 위험인식이 지각된 심각성, 지각된 취약성, 자기효능감에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 건강의식은 지각된 심각성, 대체효능감, 자기효능감에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지각된 심각성, 대체효능감, 자기효능감도 행동의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 추가적으로 지각된 심각성, 자기효능감은 COVID-19 위험인식과 행동의도 간에 매개역할을 수행하는 것으로 나타났으며, 건강의식과 행동의도 간에는 대체효능감과 자기효능감이 매개역할을 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 학술적, 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

This study examined the effects of the risk perception of COVID-19 and health consciousness on protective motivation and behavioral intention based on the protective motivation theory. To achieve this objective, an online survey was conducted from June 6, 2020 to June 30, 2020 for those who had planned trips but canceled or postponed their trips due to COVID-19. Coffee coupons were provided to the respondents as an expression of sincere response and gratitude. This study collected 230 questionnaires and analyzed the data using SPSS 23.0 and SmartPLS(v3). The results of this study reveal that the risk perception of COVID-19 positively influenced perceived severity, perceived vulnerability, and self-efficacy. Results also show that health consciousness positively influenced perceived severity, response efficacy, and self-efficacy. Perceived severity, response efficacy, and self-efficacy were found to positively influence behavioral intention. In addition, results reveal that perceived severity and self-efficacy played important mediating roles in the relationship between the risk perception of COVID-19 and behavioral intention. Response efficacy and self-efficacy also played important mediating roles in the relationship between health consciousness and behavioral intention. The findings of this study provide theoretical implicastions for academics and practical implications for tourism industry practitioners.
