Risk stratification of cardiac sequelae detected using cardiac magnetic resonance in late convalescence at the six-month follow-up of recovered COVID-19 patients

Highlights

  • Cardiac involvement is not uncommon in recovered COVID-19 patients after discharging from hospital even for six months.

  • CMR is useful to evaluate cardiac dysfunction, myocardial edema and fibrosis in COVID-19 survivors at late convalescence.

  • Elevated LDH, presence of echocardiographic and cardiac abnormalities at admission were risk factors for cardiac sequelae.
